ASTROGAZE “memory of stars”

ASTROGAZE (Installation in production, unveiled in 2027)
A groundbreaking visual and sonic installation, Astrogaze draws on Palawa creation stories, ancestral memory, and celestial navigation to explore how stars once guided ceremony, travel, and life across Lutruwita/Tasmania. Created with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, Pakana woman and Dark Sky advocate Theresa Sainty, Bob Scott, William Barton, and Georgia Scott. The work fuses orchestral sound, field recordings, deep space audio and Aboriginal voice and storytelling into a cinematic odyssey by starlight. A work of reverence and urgency, Astrogaze calls us to protect dark skies vital to biodiversity, cultural continuity, and ancestral knowledge.
